It's not easy to buy Nintendo Switch OLED stock right now, and those of us scrambling to find the console will know that it sells out fast whenever it does appear. To give you a head-start, we've listed our top tips on getting Nintendo's latest machine here. Our price-matching software is always on the lookout for Nintendo Switch OLED restocks as well, so bookmark this page and check in every now and then to see if the system's available today. Hopefully, you won't have to wait for the Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals to get one.

No matter what, the clamor to buy Nintendo Switch OLED is understandable. While it isn't the 4K Nintendo Switch Pro we were hoping for, it's still a step up from the original console (albeit a modest one). As we mentioned in our Nintendo Switch OLED review, it's "clearly the best version" and improves on the formula with a gorgeous new screen. We wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you've already got an older model, but if it's your first Switch, the OLED's a no-brainer. You can find out more in our Nintendo Switch OLED vs Nintendo Switch guide.

  • USA Nintendo Switch OLED ($349.99): Amazon | Walmart | Best Buy | Target | GameStop | Dell | Newegg
  • UK Nintendo Switch OLED £309: Amazon | Very | John Lewis | Currys | Argos | Game | Ebuyer

Just be careful not to pay over the odds. We've seen third-party retailers charging far more for Nintendo Switch OLED restocks than they should (much like PS5 stock or Xbox Series X stock), so be careful out there. The console costs $349 in the USA and £309 in the UK, so anyone making you buy Nintendo Switch OLED at a higher price is pulling a fast one... unless they're including the best Switch games or the best Nintendo Switch accessories, anyway.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch OLED - USA

Buying a Nintendo Switch OLED in the US has been difficult since the original pre-orders were announced earlier this year. However, as we've seen when tracking down other sought-after consoles, we know the stores most likely to get Switch OLED stock in next. You'll find these below.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch OLED - UK

The Switch OLED has been much easier to find in the UK than in the US, although it does seem to be selling out more nowadays and we expect it to be one of the most in-demand purchases for Christmas. We wouldn't wait for any epic bundles as a result; just snap up any chance to buy Nintendo Switch OLED if you see it.

When will the Nintendo Switch OLED be in stock?

Nobody knows when the next Nintendo Switch OLED stock drop will take place. The best we can do is check the retailers that offer the most regular restock opportunities.

In the UK, we're seeing some promising signs that Nintendo Switch OLED restocks shouldn't be spaced too far apart. Retailers like Amazon, Argos, and Very have been tag-teaming restocks over the past few weeks, and we've never waited more than around four or five days for the next drop.

However, over in the US, things are a little more sparse. While we have seen retailers like Amazon and Best Buy offering back to back restocks, these seem to be a little further apart.

Is the Nintendo Switch OLED worth it?

The Nintendo Switch OLED is an upgraded version of the mega-popular console that now includes an OLED display for when playing in handheld mode. The screen is larger too at seven inches (up from 6.2 inches on the original model). If your home Wi-Fi is a little weak or you want to cut down on lag for online gaming when playing on the TV, then the new ethernet port on the improved dock will be another upgrade you'll like.

Thankfully, Nintendo is not making any Switch games exclusive to the upgraded console, so we won't have a repeat of the situation that happened a few years back with the New 3DS release. Your old Joy-Cons will attach to the new Switch OLED as well, so there's no need to re-buy any of them when the new console launches.

If you're looking for a few extras to go with your new Nintendo Switch OLED, be sure to take a look at our Nintendo Switch headsets guide and also the best Nintendo Switch memory cards. Our Nintendo Switch Pro Controller review might help you decide to pick up the excellent traditional controller for those longer gaming sessions too.

And picking up a new console is always a good excuse to upgrade your TV, right? Head on over to our best gaming TV or best OLED TV guides for some of our favorite TVs along with today's lowest prices.

Looking much further ahead, there is of course a chance of even sweeter bundles on the consoles or accessories in the upcoming Nintendo Switch Cyber Monday deals in November. Keep an eye out.
